Gabriel Nixon

Gabriel Paul Nixon is a lifelong martial artist with over two decades of striking experience, 15 years in jiu-jitsu, and 8 years dedicated to judo. His approach to teaching blends traditional martial arts principles with modern, practical application—built through years of competition, coaching, and continuous evolution on the mats.

Gabriel has tested his skills in live competition environments and brings that experience directly into his instruction. His coaching emphasizes timing, pressure, adaptability, and the ability to “figure it out” under real resistance—skills that only come from time spent both winning and learning the hard way.

With a foundation that spans stand-up grappling, ground control, and striking, Gabriel offers a well-rounded system that connects judo, jiu-jitsu, and striking into a cohesive style. His teaching focuses not just on techniques, but on developing problem-solving martial artists who can think, adjust, and perform under pressure.

Known for his engaging and often humorous coaching style, Gabriel creates an environment where students are encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and grow. He believes that progress comes from embracing the process—messing up, learning, and refining over time.

Whether working with beginners or experienced competitors, his goal remains the same: build capable, confident martial artists who can apply their skills both on and off the mat.
